Destroy All Humans 2 Remake Gets Teased by THQ Nordic

Of the wide variety of remakes we got in the last generation, Destroy All Humans! from Black Forest Games and THQ Nordic was one of the best received. The 2020 remake of the 2005 classic received praise from critics and fans alike. In fact, the game currently sits at a solid 10/10 on Steam. I personally hadn't played a DAH! game until last year and even without the nostalgia, the polished gameplay and clean visuals made for a great experience. So it's not surprising that a game that's so celebrated get's an accolades trailer to highlight some of the great things that have been said about it. And if it's on sale for 50% off then even better. At first glance, that's exactly what the new Midweek Madness trailer that THQ Nordic uploaded was disguised as. A promo announcement followed by a minute and a half of bragging.

However, the real exciting news came at the end of the trailer when Crytpo-137 is interrupted during his title screen posing. When asked if he's done yet he replies with a stare into the camera and the line "Wait your turn little tadpole, I'm only getting started." In 2006, just a year after the first game, Destroy All Humans! 2 released, and considering the successes of the first remake, it fits the timeline that in 2021 we see Black Forest Games return to remake the sequel. There is no new information just yet, but I'd guess that we'll hear more about the game as we get closer to a potential mid-year release date. And if you're still unsure if this actually means anything, the press release we received with this trailer telling us specifically to stay until the end for a surprise confirms that, at the very least, THQ Nordic still has plans for 137 and the Destroy All Humans! series.
