Sucker Punch's 2020 hit, Ghost of Tsushima, is one of the fastest-selling new IPs of this last generation. Last we heard, the game sold 5 million units as of November, but, along with the film announcement, we also got the updated stats, putting the game at 6.5 million copies sold. This means the game is still selling huge numbers, and thanks to a next-gen update that has the game running at a buttery smooth 60fps on the PlayStation 5, sales will continue to grow in the coming months.
Despite the fact that we are years away from this movie ever releasing, anyone who has seen Stahelski's work knows that he's a great choice for adapting Ghost. Much like the love and attention to detail Sucker Punch was able to pour into the game, Chad Stahelski is able to do the same for on-camera action and stuntwork. After the sword work we've seen in John Wick: Chapter 3, it will be exciting to see what he and his team are able to do with an entire film of sword-on-sword combat set on the Japanese island of Tsushima during the Mongol invasion.
