Call of the Sea is Out Now on Playstation

Released in December of 2020 as an Xbox console exclusive, Call of the Sea, the debut game from developer Out of the Blue, has earned a lot of positive reviews and awards. Today, the acclaimed first-person puzzle game makes its way onto PlayStation consoles, and as a bonus celebration of the release, PlayStation Plus members can get the game for 20% off until May 18. And if you currently only have the PS4, due to the PS5 shortage which doesn't seem like it will be ending anytime soon, you can purchase the PS4 version of the game and upgrade to the PS5 at no extra cost whenever you're able to get your hands on one.

Back in December, we were lucky enough to get a review code for Call of the Sea from the publisher, and I can confidently say that it is still one of the best games I have ever played. It was easy to get invested in the beautifully presented story of Norah, a woman in the 1930s who suffers terrible genetic disease and is in search of her husband, who had set out on an expedition to find a cure but went missing a few months prior. As you search the mysterious island that was Norah's husband's last known location, you must solve puzzles and explore to uncover all the secrets the island holds. To hear all my thoughts, feel free to check out my full review for the game, and if you pick up the game to play, we also have a guide to help you in Chapter 6 if you get a bit stuck.

If you haven't yet played Call of the Sea and you are a fan of adventure games with gorgeous visuals and a compelling narrative, then you are definitely missing out. You can now play Call of the Sea on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. If you need a little more convincing, click here to check out the first hour of Call of the Sea.
